La venticinquenne attrice scozzese Karen Gillan, interprete di Amy Pond nella serie tv Doctor Who, è entrata nel cast di Guardians of the Galaxy. Non è ancora dato sapere chi interpreterà nel film.

Diretto da James Gunn e scritto da Nicole Perlman e Chris McCoy, Guardians of the Galaxy è basato sull’omonima serie a fumetti Marvel pubblicata nel 1969 e rilanciata nel 2008. Il film vede nel cast anche Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker e Glenn Close.

Il film uscirà in USA il 1 agosto 2014 e in Italia il successivo 22 ottobre.
